Automatik compares prices from North-Macedonian online stores. We sell nothing, this version has no user accounts, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
What stays on your iPhone
Your watchlist and price targets, saved sizes, who you shop for, language and notification settings, recent searches, recently viewed products and the purchases you log are stored only on your device (shared with the Automatik widgets on the same iPhone). They are never sent to us. Deleting the app deletes them.
What the app sends to us
To improve search results and to show stores how often their offers are seen and opened, the app sends these events:
- Search history: the words you search for, the app language, the number of results, and which result you opened.
- Product interaction: the product pages you view, the store offers shown to you (store, price, position) and the store you open.
Each event carries a random device identifier created when the app first runs. It is not your name, email, phone number, Apple ID or advertising identifier, and it changes if you delete and reinstall the app. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or payment details. Events are used only in aggregate and kept for up to 24 months.
Notifications
Price alerts are created on your iPhone by the app (local notifications). No notification token is sent to us.
Stores and product photos
Product photos load from the stores' own servers, which receive a normal web request from your device. “Go to store” opens the store's website, where the store's own privacy policy applies.
Service providers
Our servers are hosted by Hetzner in the EU, behind Cloudflare, which processes network requests (including IP addresses) to deliver and protect the service. Server logs with IP addresses are kept briefly for security. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting code.
Website
automatik.mk uses a session cookie (automatik_sid) for the same aggregate statistics, and your email address only if you ask for an email price alert.
Your rights
Under North Macedonia's Law on Personal Data Protection (and the GDPR where it applies) you may ask for access to, correction or deletion of data about you, or object to its use. Because we hold no account and only a random device identifier, deleting the app stops all collection. Contact: [email protected]. You may also complain to the Agency for Personal Data Protection (azlp.mk).
Children
Automatik is a general shopping tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We update this page, and the date above, before any feature that changes what we collect (for example optional accounts).
